Rev. Gisela Wielki grew up in Stuttgart, Germany, where she entered the seminary of The Christian Community in 1967 and was ordained at the age of 26. “I wanted to work with people from the cradle to the grave and beyond, if possible.” Gisela was sent to work in the congregation in New York City in 1972. In 2002, she was appointed director of the newly founded Seminary of The Christian Community in North America, first located in Chicago. She ultimately returned to work in New York City, from where she retired in 2020 but to which she still remains connected. We are so fortunate to have her visit us in Atlanta this summer.
